Teressa is the founder and director of Anew Rehab, bringing extensive experience in community rehabilitation, disability management, and occupational health. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology from the University of Victoria and a Master of Occupational Therapy from the University of British Columbia.

Throughout her career, Teressa has worked across public and private healthcare settings, including hospitals, community rehabilitation, residential care, and disability management. Her clinical experience spans complex physical and mental health conditions, functional assessments, equipment prescription, and return-to-work rehabilitation.

Having worked both as a frontline clinician and as a professional resource supporting other occupational therapists, Teressa developed a strong understanding of the challenges involved in navigating healthcare systems, funding policies, and rehabilitation services.

This experience shaped her approach to building Anew Rehab: a community-based practice focused on practical problem-solving, collaboration, and making better use of the resources already available.

Today, Teressa leads Anew Rehab's clinical team, develops partnerships with employers and funding organizations, and continues to provide occupational therapy services in Campbell River and the Comox Valley. She is passionate about building a rehabilitation model that supports clinicians, improves coordination, and makes meaningful services accessible to more communities.

Teressa has additional training in functional capacity evaluation, occupational rehabilitation, pain management, life care planning, and coaching for return to work.

Outside of work, Teressa enjoys spending time with her family, exploring Vancouver Island, and pursuing creative projects.
